I beleive ND needs 7 wins to show sucess. Wins over Pitt, Perdue, Navy, should always be easy wins. We have a lot of talent, with playing time. If CW can't coach his way into a bowl game or atleast 7 w's we need to start searching. I still love the guy, and think he will do well, let's see. I predict 10 wins, and a bowl victory. Sure laugh now but I have a great feeling, losses can be the best motivator. You can quote my prediction next year before our BCS victory. GO IRISH!!!
OK, Robert. We're gonna hold you to this. 10 wins is a stretch, but if Weis does achieve this, then it's a no brainer for him as coach of the year.
I agree with Robert that ND needs at least 7 wins to show some success. 6 wins doesn't really show any improvement from last year considering the easier schedule next year. Charlie would face tremendous heat at 6-6 and you would see the on-the-fence people start turning against him. In addition, the only player that is not returning that may/should have a real adverse impact is Laws. Maybe also carlson, but he didn't catch that many passes last year and between Yeatman, Ragone, and Rudolph, they should be able to make up for him. This team needs to get better and should. I am going to predict 8 wins next year - not outrageous, but certainly doable, and looking at it another way, there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to beat everyone on the schedule except maybe Michigan and USC, but unlike Robert, I think we will lose a couple besides those two.
I believe ND has to win at least 8 games next year with the light schedule. I fear fat Charlie may not be up to it. He is a good recruiter and x&o man but can he coach? I hope I am wrong
