Irish get manhandled by Washington State. 41 points the lowest in the Mike Brey era.

Horrendous loss for the Irish to end the season. Does this put a damper on the entire season?

Very disappointing game. WSU was a bad draw for us. It was almost as if we were satisfied just to get out of the first round. Losing in the first round of the Big East screwed up our seeding.

In order to get a 3rd round seed in the tourney, we needed to get to the finals of the Big East Tournament. Anything less than that and we would've been a 4th seed at best. Which would've put WSU as a 5th seed instead of a 4th and we're in the same boat. The first round loss of the Big East tourney was an extremely bad omen.

Good Points Mike. A better showing in Big East may have put us out West as a Number 4 in place of U Conn. We probably would have had better match up with Western Kentucky/Drake winner provided we were able to beat San Diego. We may have had better chance to get to the Sweet 16 and right to get thumped by UCLA.
Anyone everyone knows ND is a Hockey school anyway.
