As he's done his whole career at ND, Mike Brey doing well to save his job. Irish play well during season, but sputter in tourney. Could this year be different?
I wonder if some of the lack of interest in the basketball program stems from the years of poor performance on the football field? I was a student in the late 80's and I think a lot of students got fired up by the football program and that enthusiasm spilled over into basketball. It's too bad to hear that the student body has changed so much, but then again it seems the fan base as a whole has changed. I am blown away by how quiet ND stadium can be during a football game these days. It's pathetic and it didn't used to be that way.
