Let's hope so. I really think we may surprise people. This team is way different than 2012. Maybe not quite as good on defense, but way better on offense.
Excellent Cast guys - Since Ed brought it up, Agree that special teams is likely ND's potential Achilles: as a pre-game 'reverse - black cat', I'll say Polian should not return to South Bend next year. Enjoyed the cast - keep the Chicken Soup hot on the sidelines if you're attending the game.
As I see Clemson playing the entire game like USC did in the first half against the Irish, we need strategies in place from the beginning of the game to stop Clemson's running attack. Clemson is like USC in that first half on offense and defense, only on steroids. Pun not in intended. Clemson has so many 6.1 five star players, the Irish will have to be creative offensively and defensively while blocking and tackling better than any game this season.
Agreed. We haven't faced a team like Clemson all year, but we have been consistent, that should help weather the tide. Just can't let them get up 14 early, or we may never be in the game.
For Wimbush to announce his transfer for next year was offal timing. His entire focus should be on Clemson. Too, it is a draw down to the team psyche and effort on the team effort in their biggest game of the year.
One of the guys was right about ND needs all receivers and TEs to play like all-americans. Clemson is too well disciplined and talented for the Irish to make errors.
Hope to hear you guys at least once more this season. Go Irish!

DeleteClemson was pretty dang good, but we didn't show up on offense. Losing Love was a game changer;we need more depth. Was this season as good as it gets?
DeleteWe'll address this on the next show. Should post in the next day. But Yes, offense was the big disappointment. Didn't see that coming at all.
DeleteDid you speed up the audio on this? The breaks between sentences were disconcerting short. If not, maybe slow down a bit?
ReplyDeleteGlad someone caught this. :) We tried to cut out pauses to shorten cast, but agree it's a little distracting. Thanks for feedback.
