Irish are 1-0. Undefeated still possible?

The good and the bad of FSU. Yes, there were some blunders in Tallahassee, but are they fixable? Irish should improve over the next 2 games.

  1. I m concerned about all the injuries, is anything causing this or is it just bad luck? This Toledo team isn't a walk in the park we will win but a lot different program than Ball State.

    1. I just think it's bad luck. But there are a ton of injuries so far. Toledo is a well coached team with some talent.

  2. If we can handle Toledo easily then maybe we are on our way to a special year, my concerns are can we run the football? Hopefully a short week won't hurt our energy and intensity. we better bring our A game vs Toledo

    1. I think the first half will be close for sure. Expect us to take over late 3rd Qtr.

  3. It's nice to be at home vs Toledo and Purdue, hopefully get some things corrected. We did put up 41 points @ FSU. I think we right the ship these two weeks and make a run toward another unbeaten regular season

  4. I ll admit I drank the kool aid. We're in a rebuilding year. Give Toledo credit for playing well but with 5 of the next 6 teams currently ranked opponents it's gonna be hard to come out if the first 8 games 5-3. I ll root for them and stay positive but our offensive line just isn't really good yet and it's gonna take some time
Hope for the best but the reality is we just don't have a top notch offensive line which is compounded by all the injuries

  5. From a football perspective we really have a talented good program,. Our issues are up front on our offensive line, everything else is decent but when a team doesn't have offensive line play it's tough,. Hopefully the fans will have a little patience, injuries to an already inexperienced offensive line is making games hard to see all the other positives like good running back play along with great receivers and QB s

  6. Enjoyed your good posts A-nony.... right on target with the OFF Line situation, was very hard to watch vs. Holy Toledo(!), but not nearly as atrocious as our DEFENSE!! Where did ND get that Def. Coordinator?? from Whatsa Matta U?? Wow! Dude is Clueless! Half the time ND's D looks like an oil painting out there while those 5 ft. nuthin Toledo ball carries looked like Tasmanian Devils strapped to cruise missles. The other half of the time they were flailing arm mis-tackling at shoulder height. As far as the "Peacock Game", I was so %&$$#!-Off at ND Athletic suites who kicked millions of life-long devoted fans in the Teeth by lying down in the gutter with Peacock, which is a smothering putrid cesspool of washed-up moldy trash film footage. In fact I emailed the RockneAthleticFund during the game and vowed never to give a dime further to the fund. If they want $$$, ND can go to NYC and beg from Peacock's Goldman Sachs Con-men. I did see a 2 hr edited replay of the game last Wed, since I have comcash network & got it on demand. It didn't look quite as bad as it sounded on the radio live. Hey, we have a kicker and 2 excellent QB's! Buckner was electric, but ND gave up 6 sacks vs. Holy Toledo, which a talking head said was equal to what we gave up in the Champ. game vs. Clemson(?) Not Good! D&D - Great to have you back this season... ND will have to crack the Boilerfaker's David Bell like the Liberty Bell tomorrow. Watched vid clip of Brady Quinn, he's goin w/ ND & the 7 pts. Notre Dame's rush defense has been awful. Despite playing just Toledo and Florida State, ND ranks No. 104th nationally at greater than 194 rushing yards allowed per game on 4.91 yards per carry. For perspective, Notre Dame ranks just behind UNLV and Vanderbilt in that parameter.(Maybe we'll meet UNLV or Vandy in a Bowl Game?) Not exactly looking forward to seeing thee ugliest uniforms in NCAA(all Prison Sanitary Worker Black) take on the not-so-gleaming Blue&Golds. I may have to break out my homemade wine along with the Stout tomorrow. Enjoy the game! Shake-Down some Defense, From-the Sky...

  8. I d like to hear everyone's predictions on Wisconsin game
My guess is the team that limits turnovers and has some success running the ball will win the game

  10. Could be a low scoring game, something like 24-17.
Just depends on the trenches and how our defensive line holds up
