Seems logical Pyne will be the starter. Is he capable of lasting the entire game? What's a reasonable expectation of an Irish win?

Great insight guys. Thanks for the podcast, appreciate the Irish football info.
ReplyDeletei agree, love listening to them before watching the game. Makes the game more insightful, wish they could be on twice a week.
DeleteI agree with going with Pyne, I know the team really likes Coan, and he is a mature high character individual but but we need to prepare for 2022
ReplyDeleteThis could be an old school defensive game where turnovers will be very critical. I like the Irish 20-10
ReplyDeleteThat was a special win tonight vs VT
ReplyDeleteAnyone surprised Pyne didn't see the field? It's hard to understand our QB situation
its surprising he didnt get in, I simply cant understand the QB situation, All i know is were 5-1 and Kelly sees them in practice and knows what he s doing.
DeleteI see no reason to think ND will lose another game this year. 11-1?
ReplyDeletemaybe, but we still seem to play to our competition at times . my guess is 10-2
DeleteThis bye week after such a big win is much needed, hats off to Coan for bringing us from behind to win the game
ReplyDeleteExcellent come from behind win, gotta give the coaches and kids a lot of credit
ReplyDeleteThis was an environment and game where a veteran coach is critical for success
I really think this team could win out, the off week is perfect to heal up and finish 11-1
ReplyDeleteThis team is special, they've battled through adversity and injuries like a real warrior, Irish will be favored in each of the last 6 games, hopefully we can stay healthy
ReplyDeleteI m just glad we are 5-1 and not 2-4 like Florida St
ReplyDeletei agree with the 5-1. Lotsa young kids playing. I'm just glad we have an experienced coach. This could be a 5-7 or 6-6 type year under our previous coaches. Next couple years were gonna be tough!
Deletehow realistic is an 11-1 season? i know we seem to win all the close games but do we flirt with disaster every game.
ReplyDeletedo we have the potential of losing all our remaining gmaes except Navy? but also winning all our games?
11-1 is very realistic, we have a solid, good team. without a ranked opponent left i look for us to win out.
DeleteI'm thinking 10-2 is a realistic mid year prediction, we have no ranked teams left on the schedule. We play at home the next three weeks after our bye.
ReplyDeleteit looks like we found our left tackle with Alt and our young QB's are getting closer to taking over. My guess is Brian will continue to start Coan, but we really need to play our talent with Buchner and Pyne. VT was a great win and i still think they could get to the ACC championship game.
I'm always puzzled by the rankings, going into a one loss VT game at night and we cant move up in the rankings, while Ohio State is now 6th three spots ahead of Oregon who they lost to at home.
personally i need a week off, love the Irish but they play such tight games its stressful!
ReplyDeleteGo Irish!
Looks like the Irish are favored by 6. Weather looks chilly 48 degrees at kickoff
ReplyDeleteSouthern cal is a strange team, with the firing of Helton they look very inconsistent, they have maybe the best receiver in the country in London, if we contain him we should be in good shape. I look for the offense of ND to put up some points and the colder chilly weather plays to ND s favor. I m gonna say 31-20 Irish
ReplyDeleteMaybe I m a bit optimistic but does anyone see a Cincinnati rematch in the playoffs? If they go 12-0 and we get to 11-1?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the PAC 12 and ACC are out of the playoffs,
I do see the potential of Alabama getting knocked out by Georgia leaving just Georgia in from the SEC which will allow 2 spots with Cincy and Georgia in,
Irish and the big ten champ?
