Irish progressing nicely

Definitely a few things to correct, but the Irish are improving for sure. Can they keep it up?

  1. Kids are progressing, hope we can play more consistently and win big the next two games. Maybe get Angeli some snaps at QB

    1. We need to have our backup QB ready, snaps would be great. Pyne has I think three more years potentially, Really like his progress and with Carr coming in the position looks solid

    2. Watching Marshall lose again last night for the third time is frustrating, didn’t realize how poor of a team Marshall turned into…… Maybe the ND win was the worst thing for them and the loss the best thing for ND.
I still really expect us to win 6-7 of these final games

    3. Heistand has his kids playing great up front, but our blocking is poor at the other positions like WR and our tight end Mayer.

    4. Marshall has now lost three of their last four including hapless BG, No excuses, may be the worst loss since Weis lost to 2 win Syracuse

  2. We have now beaten 2 of 3 ranked teams at the time we played. (NC BYU) but have three more ranked teams left in Syracuse SC and Clemson. Who plays 6 ranked teams in 12 games?

  3. Shamrock Series games are supposed to be Notre Dame home games. It looked and sounded like BYU got a lot more than the normal visiting team allotment of tickets. Perhaps that was negotiated into the contract by BYU. Remember this game was originally supposed to be BYU home game in Provo. Hopefully the Irish will return to Las Vegas soon and more Irish fans will be able to attend that game. Flying into Vegas is a lot easier than flying into South Bend.

    1. Really?? First game or two I would've agreed - but Pyne performed like a 3rd stringer Ivy League QB vs. The Red Trees! Dropped back, then planted himself like he had cement boots & threw bad passes all night. I've never seen so many tipped passes in 1 game - maybe a new ND record. Rees barely has 3 NCAA-level players on Offense to work with; thus he's got no choice but to keep it 1 dimensional..... which winds up looking like 1/2 a dimension on the field. I've never seen such lack of talent.... sparing The Mayer of course. To me, all this sludge started when all the great ND Juniors started jumping ship, even sitting on their Prima-Donna duffs for ND's bowl games. What a farce. Sadly, T.R. cannot go out on the field and do it for them.

  4. Really poor performance in loss tonight to Stanford. We’re all kidding ourselves if we think this program is going anywhere.

  5. Poorly prepared team and another home loss to a below average team. Poor blocking again

  6. I hate what is happening to Freeman, high character person just so far in over his head, This is gonna be a terrible ending maybe sooner than later

  7. Are we officially a dumpster fire?
I was shocked how poor of a program Stanford has become. This has all the makings of a Shakespeare tragedy.

  8. Trying to stay positive but this offensive mess is on Rees
    Are we stuck with him?

    1. I'd argue Rees is in a bad spot and doing anything he can. He's dealt with cards that are not ideal. Wide receiver production is a non-existent. That said, Stanford and Marshal should've been wins but we're also dealing with a first year head coach who hasn't learned to take 3 points when you can get it. 2 point loss to Stanford is your difference.

  9. Let’s all get behind the team. They need us right now.

    1. Amen to that. Not easy being in the situation they're in now. Keep the faith.
