PJ Fleck at Minnesota is turning some heads. I hope hes on Swarbriks radar of evaluation. I am not a fan of firing coaches unless you think there is another top coach you can land.
Saban is locked up. Dabo isnt leaving Clemson unless Saban retires and he can go back to his Alma mater in Tuscaloosa. Stoops has called it quits. Jimbo isn't leaving FSU. Urban Meyer isn't leaving Ohio State. And I don't see ND stealing Harbaugh from Michigan. So to me the only logical choices would be......
Chris Peterson at Washington - But have we not forgotten about the last coach we got from Washington. (willingham)
wow....give the numerous interesting storylines about the 2017 Irish -- personnel, opponents, style of play, etc. -- all the comments are about the HFC and possible replacements, etc. Still think BK is going to retire from ND on his terms. Amazing to me how that drives so many fans crazy...
I can’t see ND winning the National Championship if they continue to use their opponents’ officials. Let’s see what happens in the Georgia game. ND would most likely beat Georgia with neutral officials (see LSU game a few years ago with neutral officials). The Georgia coaching staff is quite inferior to the ND coaching staff. The Georgia players on the other hand are very talented and along with the help of the SEC and ACC officiating crews, the Georgia team should win the ND game. Kelly is about as good as it is going to get in terms of ND head coaches. What really needs to change is the ND Athletic Director Swarbrick. He is the one who contracted these games to be played with ND’s opponents’ officials.
Agreed that BK will leave ND on his own terms, like it or not. Good enough will be enough. Sidebar, this podcast would be nicer if you would let Coffey (sp?) talk, even when you disagree with him, instead of talking over him and interrupting him and shutting down his line of thought...almost rude there....but all in all it's good to have you guys back. Great insights into schedule, returning players, differences from last year. Thanks. JW
7 Fired.
ReplyDelete8 He better be one hell of a salesman on why he should keep it. (Better have a win against USC or Georgia.
9 Hes safe.
Yep, I would agree with this. 8-4 and he's on thin ice. I do think he's going to turn things around and win 9, maybe even 10 games.
ReplyDeleteAnything under 10 wins ND admin. Had better start contemplating a HC. Search!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter. He is not, nor has ever been the proper solution. Fire him. Period.

ReplyDeleteHe probably wins 7 or 8 and keeps the job. ND seems to be okay with mediocre football these days.
