Does Wimbush get in?

Will be interesting to see if there is a set of scripted plays for Wimbush to get in and take advantage of his legs? Or does Book take over and with a win, solidify his role as starting QB?

  1. 6-5 and 6-7 receivers who can jump and have great hands are so rare. The fact that Stanford has them is flat out scary. The comeback win at Oregon was the result of 2 things. Oregon get sloppy on the snaps and you could see Shaw's little smirk that said I am going too throw high, stop me if you can. I need to look up the heights of those tight ends too....

  2. One thing we didn't discuss on the show is how good of a coach Shaw is. Left on our schedule, he's by far the best. Will be a tough game to win. Look for him to expose a couple of coverage breakdowns.

  3. Great show as always.

Not sure if we count the "Jafar" injury as a Brammer Jinx with us being relatively healthy, but it is good to have Dextor back.

We were at Wake last week and it was freaking hot. At least 20 folks by half time passed out due to heat exhaustion (per what we over heard by this one medical person). Kelly did a great job of shuffling in players and out.

We were not too far from the ND bench and I watched #7 a lot and he was engaged with the team.

Note: We were at the NC STATE Hurricane game and I would take the heat over that "water polo match" any day of the week.

Thanks for your all insight this week's game. I believe the game will be close and it will be battle to the end with very limited possessions.

Stanford like to control clock and run the so call "Princeton Offense" (or Navy). Irish needs to put some points on the board every time.

I worry about the B. Love having a break out game. He went to school not to far from us. He was a beast locally.

    1. I feel bad for W. But you are absolutely right. Jurkovic, following the capable Book.

  6. Mr coffey, Why do we owe Wimbush any preferred treatment? he s a backup like a lot of players. He was given his chance and lost his job through competition, time to move on, this liberal thinking is what can get us in trouble.

    1. ND doesn't owe him preferred treatment. They owe him consideration and the ability to maximize his potential, just as they do every player on that team, but he also should be rewarded for being the good leader he's being. That's what's supposed to make ND different from the rest.

    2. I respectfully disagree, how do you want him rewarded? Playing time? I agree he is a class act but like a lot of college football players we cannot and should not give him any playing time given the situation. Whether its the outstanding recruitment or development of players @ND now...we are a different program than we had under three previous coaches.

    3. I do agree on Wimbush being a class act, look at what Zaire did to both the ND and Florida teams during his last year at both schools? He was an average playerat best, that thought he deserved more but wasn't very good.
A player can really divide a locker room and be a very negative force

    4. I agree with your points, Brandon is a class act and made a great 40 year decision changing from Penn St to us in recruiting
