Irish face stiff challenge vs. UNC

Do the Irish continue to improve offensively? Is there a major concern without Hamilton? Likely another close Irish win.

  1. I respectfully disagree on your predictions, USC has much better talent than NC, especially at wideout. Our offense is gonna roll this team, sounds like a dry track temps should stay close to 50. Were gonna score a lot, my guess is 49-24 Irish

    1. How did you know what was gonna happen? Vegas predicted a 3 point game

  2. Mack Brown and the bye week is the only thing i see helping NC, were on a different level, should be competitive the first half but ND s talent takes over this game. 38-21 Irish

  3. This is a trap game after the emotional game with SC, still like the Irish but could be tight,. 31-27 Irish

  4. You both were pretty close, nice win for the Irish
Love this teams heart,. Starting to think an 11-1 season and a real shot at the playoffs possible

  5. If Wisconsin wins out (wins big ten) I think it may be likely we get in playoff if we can win out
We are now sitting at 8th and have moved up 5 spots in two weeks

    1. Real difficult to see a way into Playoffs. You'd almost have to have all teams behind us with 2 losses. No way we jump a conference champ if they have 1 loss.

    2. I see your point, however the SEC will probably get just one team in if Georgia wins out, PAC 12 looks shaky with just Oregon left as a candidate, Oklahoma may be the key for us if they lose
I could see Georgia Cincy Irish and Oklahoma in if Wisconsin or Minnesota wins the big ten essentially eliminating that league
A lot of football left, if we can get to 11-1 I pressively I think we may be considered

    3. I definitely think we get considered, and from what the expectations were at the beginning of the season, give a lot of credit to the coaching staff and the program in general. 11-1 would be amazing. A lot of football left but I give it a 5% chance.

  6. Navy spread appears to be about 20, do you guys expect a blowout?

    1. I don't. Hamilton is key, if he plays, maybe 20 points, if he doesn't, 10-15 points. I hate playing Navy, extremely difficult to defend with one week of preparation.

    1. Joe! My man. Too bad we didn't meet up at USC, great atmosphere. Tim Murphy had a good tailgater, Leo as well. A bunch of guys in '89 class were in town. Had a great time.

    2. Next time I will plan better. Had not been to an on campus game since PSU Snow Bowl. Several people have indicated that Vegas next year is one they want to attend. I need to make sure I get back there at least once a season.

  8. Notre Dame s offense is gonna manhandle this navy team, i have concerns with our defense and our number of possessions on offense, but my guess is we should overwhelm them, may look kinda ugly but i see a 37-17 type of game. quick start is important

  9. North Carolina night game was awesome, the afternoon tailgating in the Joyce parking lot to the game experience was special. The upgrades through the years are so nice, what a special venue! Recruits gotta love the experience

  10. I agree it's a longshot to make the playoffs but I do think 11-1 is very likely at this point. It's hard to win em all but this team has determination and great chemistry,. I m so impressed with Coan and his leadership, in the past a player like Malik Zaire would divide the locker room whereas Coan is such a high character mature individual, speaks highly of the apparent program and University he came from in wisconsin

  11. When analyzing the schedule in the preseason I looked at the five game stretch including Wisconsin, Cincy,VT, SC, and NC as being very challenging, the next four could be easier,. Currently our SOR (strength of record) is 7th
I really like our chances at 11-1
