In Notre Dame Elite Status Now?

Irish deliver in the clutch against Texas A&M. Is this an elite program now?

  1. Hopefully the team can grow and improve the next three weeks prior to Louisville, and stay healthy

  2. Irish are elite defensively, Hopefully by mid season same with the offense

  3. What a disaster, worst loss in the history of the program?

    1. If it's Not thee worst one, then it will still be equally bad as the worst one. Wow! And to think I thought I witnessed one of the worst when I went to Meadowlands to watch BK's ND team fold like a cheap tent vs. Navy! The NIU loss, at Home for God's sake!, makes BK Navy loss look like a respectable Bowl Game loss. It was like a Deja Vu of MF's horrific Marshall loss (do I dare say that was also at Home!) all over again, with NIU coaching staff simply xeroxing Marshall's blueprint for walking away with a win in Rockne's house & re-write their otherwise hapless school record books to now include a golden chapter that they will cherish for a century. One more loss and ND is headed to the Emeril Lagasse Air Fryer Bowl. MF excels massively at laying huge dinosaur eggs on the 50 yrd line vs. 4+ TD Underdogs. Wife & I were screaming for Angeli before the Boo Birds sent the hapless Fightins to half-time locker room. This was ND's Home Opener(!), yet the team looked flat, sleepy, unmotivated, & totally devoid of any fire to want to defend their own turf and win the day.

  4. The inconsistency is so hard to take the past three seasons, but i think deep down we knew there would be growing pains with a first time heard coach. I expect to see more of this lack of preparation but also more of the Texas AM type performances.
Marshall, Stanford and Northern Illinois are probably three of the worst losses in Rockne s
house in modern times over the past 2 years plus the opener Saturday.

    1. I m a little torn, I think freeman was a breath of fresh air but in reality probably should have gotten a proven winner like Ara, Holtz Devine, or Leahy.
Just seems like people without head coaching exoerience is to risky
Marcus should have proven himself at a place like the MAC then jumped up to a place like Virginia then to ND, Why would we take on that kind of on the job training? You’re seeing the learning now. We simply don’t know how to handle success

  5. We all drank the Kool Aid, myself included. This program hopefully can make a respectable showing this year, but next year look out, Without the development and all the graduation losses look out. Could be a terrible rebuilding year especially on defense
