I felt that the end of the season with the blow-out victories over Navy, Duke, Boston College and Stanford were pretty impressive. Book seemed to be much more effective later in the season and Claypool was a monster. The defensive coaches did an excellent job and next year looks even better. Let's discount the Michigan game and the season looks pretty darn good. Cheers to the coaching staff and by the way; Hamilton, Lacey and Foskey are going to be monsters defensively next year. Fight on for old Notre Dame.
I was thinking 10-2 would be a really nice year, Georgia I knew would be tough, and expected a split with them and Michigan. Its so easy to lose another like VT or someone else
USA today is projecting playing Texas in Orlando Dec 28th....but Iowa St and oklahoma st are still in the mix, is their a preference that you all have?
Pretty disappointing to see we ended up with Iowa State. I would love to see us play well and finish strong to position us for next year. Texas would've been nice.
Actually would of been nice to pit ND vs Florida together in the Orange Bowl, without the prior arrangements and Bowl tie in politics. I'm gonna do some research on Iowa State, sounds like it may be a tough game. Last I heard we are just a 2 point favorite.
Our defense is gonna be tested, we can't have a slow start like we had vs Stanford. ISU defense is vulnerable, which I really think plays into Coach Long s game plan. Hopefully Coach Lea has a typical solid performance and will be able to keep their outstanding QB in check as a passer To early for prediction but this is not your typical 7-5 team, I do not see a blowout like we have seen since the Michigan game in October. Thoughts?
Now I am hearing Long will not coach in the Bowl game, this is really odd timing especially with the early signing day and the game just two weeks from saturday
No!

ReplyDeleteYes were really solid, weve progressed where average teams are not a threat to our coaching and talent level.
