Will NW break ND hearts?

Is Northwestern capable of upsetting the Irish? Would be interesting to ask Wisconsin that. Look for a tough, physical, close game.

  1. Oh man, audio is out of sync in the second half, had to turn if off as the hosts just sounded like they were talking over each other

  2. Hell yes they are capable of beating ND. Especially at home in November and with the Irish lacking some critical players to injury.

  3. This is NW's Superbowl, especially when you have a Coach like Fitzgerald who hates ND...probably because he didn't get accepted. Nonetheless, the Irish players & coaches and the game plan have to be at their optimum point to come out with a W. We have to equal Coach Fitzgerald's energy towards this game and out-tough & out-smart them. NW is a bunch of heartless, rich, smart kids; the Irish have intelligence, big hearts, and GRIT! Irish, lead us onward to Victory.

  4. Nice thoughts on the game! Mike K. Your insight have been great all year, I feel like I m in the minority but I don't see this game very close. I do not see them with a running attack which will make it a terrible evening. Their offense has issues and our defense won't be very forgiving. The big ten is down his year, which has hidden many of their issues @northwestern. I like the Irish by at least 2 touchdowns but expect more like a 34-14 type game.

  5. No on breaking our hearts, Irish will win, only risk are turnovers, but I just don't see this team matching up with our defense.
Are they as good as VT defense? This game could get ugly, Long may hang 40 on them

  6. NW lack of as running game will show up in this game in my opinion, I realize they are efficient but at some point people are gonna realizecte big ten is very average this year. These guys lost to Akron and may win the big ten (west)

  7. Impressive win on the road vs northwestern, I really like our chances heading into this three game stretch.
Now that syracuse is highly ranked helps a lot,
Still worried about FSU because of senior day?

  8. I think if we get out in front of FSU by 10 points, they'll fold. Let them hang around and we could be in trouble. Likely scenario is 35-17 Irish.

    1. You ve been correct all year on scores of games, sounds like it will be a cold evening, potentially in the mid 30's.
I like your score but we cover the 18 point spread, (like 34-10). I think the weather will favor the Irish, plus they (FSU) have been physically beaten up on defense the past 2 games.

  9. Their offensive line will be their downfall in my opinion, ND should exploit these guys in the 34-14 range. While a different team, turnovers are their only hope, similar to northwestern

  10. Mike k, how do you see the weather effecting the FSU game (cold)? It has to favor ND in my opinion, being a night game could this be a blowout? They haven't shown a good running game, how will they score?
