I think people are getting a little obnoxious about this win. Worst case, it reminds me of the 2006 Georgia Tech game. It's the first game of the season. Let this play out
RR said it today "What matters for the offense is simply adding more and making it tougher for defenses to figure out". Everyone on the opposing defense and the audience always know what the ND offense is going to do. That is why ND and Weis will continue to stuggle.
True, slight difference between Ga Tech and SDSU, but what I take away from the game was the turnovers. They eliminate the errors I believe they get 7-10 extra points in that game. Now that may not be much but that is something I believe they can correct. Also, the defense I thought was much improved over the past few seasons, looked much more aggressive and made plays when they had too. Still have a long way to go, but they will get better from week to week.. It definately is frustrating though, remember when 9 wins for ND was a disappointment??

ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? If I remember that Georgia Tech team was one of the best in the ACC, not a podunk team that just lost to Cal Poly
ReplyDeleteBarely beating a good ACC/Big East team is really no different than SDSU. Didn't the "best" in those 2 conferences just get beat by East Carolina?...
